Description: Globose, 19–12 µm in diameter, brown, thick-walled, with small protuberances (ca. 1 µm tall) evenly distributed across the surface. This microfossil superficially resembles Michrystridium (Acritarcha, HdV-115), which was first reported in lake sediment deposited on a subsoil of marine clay in The Netherlands (Pals et al., 1980; Bakker and van Smeerdijk, 1982).
