Description: Ascospores ellipsoid, inequilaterally one-celled, 18–21 × 7–9 µm, yellow, smooth, slightly thick-walled and with nearly rounded ends; two spiral germ slits running over the entire spore-length each at one side. This morphotype, which resembles EMA-55 (apart from the presence of one spiral germ slit), is probably affiliated with the Xylariaceae.
