Description: Multiple yellow-colored cells clustered into colonies, rarely found as isolated cells; Probably algae. The colonies have irregular shapes and a range of sizes >10 μm to more than 30 μm.

Palaeoenvironmental indication: Montoya et al. (2012) report an unknown NPP similar to PLN-01 that is correlated to a shallow aquatic environment (littoral zone).
