Description: Unknown microfossil, globose, pale yellow to hyaline, wall smooth, 22.3‒34.4 µm in diameter, with a protruding opening that is slightly thickened at the base, 1.9‒3.5 µm in diameter. KIU-100 may represent a resting stage of an alga.

(Sub-) Fossil occurence: In alluvial deposits, characterized by shallow water conditions

Co-occurence: Along with the highest values of the representatives of the family of Zygnematacea and other remains of green algae, such as Chlamydomonas sp. and Volvocaceae

Modern occurence: No information

Palaeoenvironmental indication: Shallow water conditions
