Description: Ascospores or conidia, (2–) 4 (–5) septate, 30–45 × 9–10 µm, slightly curved, piano-convex, with a distinctly protuberant, about 1.2 µm wide appendage or hilum at the proximal end; proximal part usually subhyaline, distal part brown, separated by a constriction at one of the septa; Proximal part 0–1-septate, distal part 1–3-septate.
