Description: Fruit bodies 40–100 µm in diameter, with a distinct, darker centre, margin smooth or slightly crenulate, covering membrane made up of radiating files of subquadratic cells, 2–9 µm wide at the margin and narrower at the centre; Ostiole 8–15 µm wide, surrounded by a ring of small cells with thick black walls; Basal plate radially structured.

(Sub-) Fossil occurence: On plant remains of Scheuchzeria palustris, cf. Eriophorum vaginatum and other remains.
