Description: Zygospores square, 22–28 × 25–30 µm, laterally straight to concave, broad ends of the retuse angles, about 7 µm in diameter; Depressions in the centre of the angles 2–3 µm deep and 3–3.5 µm in diameter, small pits, about 0.5 µm in diameter and about 2 µm apart present all over the hyaline surface of the zygospore wall.
