Description: Cf. ascospores, ellipsoidal, 37.5–48.0 x 20.0–25.0 µm, non-septate, brown, with a ca. 2 µm wide pore at one end and often a ca. 0.5 µm wide pore at the other end. A taxonomic relationship with the fungal spores of the Type 55A (Sordariaceae?) is probable.
