Description: Heterogeneous group of spores, biseptate, shortly ellipsoidal. Hyaline basal cell generally lacking; The two darkly pigmentated cells are usually found detached in the pollen samples. Detached cells 8–14 x 7–11 µm. In each septum a ca. 1 µm wide pore. Apical cell also provided with a ca. 1 µm wide pore.
