Description: Egg of oribatid mite, form ellipsoidal, 235–240 x 150 µm; Epidermis cells about 25–30 x 10–15 µm, with undulating cell walls; Proximale end with the point of attachment (hilium); Cells of the epidermis covered with appendices of increasing length from about the equator of the egg to the more rounded distal end, attaching 15 µm at the distal end.
