Description: Possibly conidium, elliptic to globose, 16–32 x 12.5–29 µm, brown to black psilate, spore muriform (only visibly in lighter individuals), sometimes with hyaline tri- or quadrangular appendage (=remant of conidiophore?).

Modern occurence: Known from bark, trunks and thick branches of Betula (Ellis and Ellis, 1997) and Sorbus aucuparia in Belarus (Yurchenko, 2001).
Palaeoenvironmental indication: Presence of birch, and possibly birch carr conditions (if highly abubdant).
