Description: Fungal spore or algal cyst, globose, 6–18 µm in diameter, thick wall, hyaline and psilate. EMA-82 resembles spores of numerous fungi (e.g. Chroelosporium state of Peziza ostracoderma Korf; ref. Ellis, 1976) and cysts of algae (e.g. Chloromonas or Chlamydomonas).

(Sub-) Fossil occurence: Recorded in peat core (Barthelmes, 2009)

Co-occurence: No information

Modern occurence: Frequent in all vegetation types

Palaeoenvironmental indication: No information
