Description: Fungal spore, possibly conidium of dematiaceous hyphomycete, elongated, 4–7 septate, each septum with a pore, one end rounded, the other end a truncated cone (often detached after the 5th septum), 42–73 x 8–13 µm, dark brown, scabrate, wall might appear p´artially thickened over two or three cells. M. Schnittler (pers. comm., 2005) proposes it to be a casing or cover as a remain of a hyphe, in which a conidium developed. A. Aptroot (pers. comm., 2005) supports the identification as a fungal remain, but doubts, it to be a spore.
