Description: Round to elongated brown to dark-brown objects of 73–137 μm with 2–4 μm protuberances at regular intervals of 8–13 μm from each other. This type is similar to Mucor-type zygospores, especially the pigmented zygospores of e.g. Mucor hachijoensis Watanabe and M. meguroense Watanabe or of Zygorhynchus moelleri Vuill. (Watanabe 2010).
